This magnificent and artistic diploma, written in Latin on parchment, refers to the
appointment as a Knight of the Rose Cross, "Equitum Rosae Crucis", of the Rosicrucian
brother Jean Duchesne, celebrated French iconographer who is remembered by a large collection
of his work in the National Library of France.
The diploma is signed by high initiates of France, some of them quite well known, and next
to the signature of each one of them are the signs and symbols of degree that continue to be
used by the Rose Cross Order to this day.
