It is common among the Orders workers, especially the team writing the "Triángulo de Luz" (Triangle of Light)
to experience high spirits whenever we have the opportunity to share with members, and others interested in
our work, the magnificent writings that Rosicrucians have contributed to the awakening of humanities
consciousness or otherwise contributed to the cultural and spiritual enrichment of society.
On this occasion
we are especially fortunate to be sharing with you a very old sample of high Rosicrucian spiritual ideals,
a prayer written by the Rosicrucian John Heydon, now more than more than three centuries old and which
belongs to the collection of material recently recovered by the Order.
The preparation of this beautiful prayer, originally written in old English, has been challenging because of the
decision to retain as much of the language in which it was originally written as possible. Even the capitals
as placed in the original document are retained even though they are no longer used in that way.
Fraters, Sorors, and esteemed friends, we ask that when reading this old Rosicrucian prayer, written by the
Frater John Heydon in the XVII century, you reach beyond the words and in their expression experience the
spirit that motivated the words.

Yea, You that you are in all places are in Everything as well, in all that I do, I pray you hearken to my prayer
for I am no more than Dust, but a Mist that emerges from the Earth with little merit to share; You have given
me a Soul, and laws to govern it; according to the Eternal Law that you first set forth to govern Man, ordering
our ways; making me mindful of your Glory in all my ways; and while I cannot know you fully because of my
limited understanding, but also my ignorance, still I can revere you. You who are All can be perfect; Your
revelation brings happiness; without anger, Oh Divine and only, Oh God the very grand Creator, if you wish,
allow that these manifest secrets be revealed, your single Gift, not for my gratification, but for your Glory.
Yea I implore you most benevolent God, that those who know do not fall in the hands of envious and ignorant
people that cloud these truths to your dishonor, saying that they are not legitimate to be published, because
what God reveals, is to be maintained secretly. But the Rosicrucian Philosophers keep this secret in the breast
of God that I have dared to reveal clearly and without reservation I pray to the Trinity that it will be printed just
as I have written it, so that the Truth will not be more darkened with ambiguous language than it already is.
Oh, pour out my soul, and fill it with your Grace, your Illumination, and your Revelation. Make me dependant on
You; You who man should consider as their King, and not hide the Honey of Knowledge that has been
discovered. I fall at your feet as your worshiper. Yea I establish my trust in You, because you who are the
source of all goodness, and you are not able to be anything but merciful, neither can you can deceive the
humble soul that trusts You: And because I cannot be kept by you, unless I live after your Laws, be steadfast
Oh of my Soul, in the obedience of your Will, and let me not harm my Conscience with wrong habits, hiding the
Gifts and Grace that were conferred upon me; because such would destroy me inwardly, and would cause your
Illuminating Spirit to leave me: I fear that I have already strayed infinitely from the Revelation of Divine Guidance
that your you have ordered so that I go toward Truth; and for this reason I am a sad prone penitent at the foot
of your Throne; I only appeal to the abundance of your Forgiveness.
Oh my God, my God, you that are a
mystery beyond the immense apprehension of our souls, and therefore sufficiently deep for Man to rest there
with security. Yea you are the Being of Beings, causing me to strive toward you, and thrust me toward the
welcoming arms of your paternal Mercy. I thank you the for external things, and for those things that I possess
to given freely and faithfully, in the name of the Trinity, without obscuring any of what was revealed to me, that it
is understood that it was not Diabolical Illusion neither a Dream, but the addition of your richest Grace; the
abundance fills my empty hands. I am content with that which you have given me.
Gracious God radiates within
my Soul, give me a heart to please you, I do not ask more than what you have given me, and that I stay honest
and without condemnation because you Liberate me from sin, from the greed of men, and from those senseless
actions of Mortality that would sink my Soul in Prostration and Corruption; allow them to be my glory
(raise them to a Noble height) without rejecting them. Take from myself, and fill me with more of you.
Bestow your Blessings twofold: that I may be fully wise and good; so that your eternal Truths may be
offered and received.
May Peace Profound always dwell in your heart.
